2025 Academy Awards: Full List of Winners

Oscar Award Winners

The 97th Academy Awards took place earlier this evening. The awards celebrated artistry and innovation in filmmaking. This year’s award ceremony was hosted by Conan O’Brien and was held at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Anora emerged as the top winner, clinching a total of five awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.

There were a lot of firsts at this year’s awards. It was the first time the country of Latvia won an Oscar for the movie Flow, which was nominated under the Best Animated Film Category. Paul Tazewell became the first black man to win an Oscar for Best Costume Design for the movie Wicked. Zoe Saldana also won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Emilia Pérez, making her the first American of Dominican origin to receive an award.

Morgan Freeman delivered a heartfelt tribute to Gene Hackman, who was found dead in his home earlier this week. The awards also honored other legends we lost from publicists to composers, song writers, and actors including Joan Plowright, Maggie Smith, Donald Sutherland, John Amos and James Earl Jones.

Adrian Brody gave a beautiful acceptance speech after winning the Best Actor category for his role in the movie The Brutalist.

Here’s the complete list of all nominees, with the winners proudly highlighted in each category.
