My Favorite Tracks from CKay’s Emotions Album
Some of my favorite songs on the Album are Vanity, Wahala, Addicted, and Mysterious Love.
Vanity and Mysterious Love feature Olamide, so naturally when you bring these two artists together you will get a hit! What I liked best about the Mysterious Love apart from the lyrics is the use of the Oja (flute) throughout the song. You cannot replicate that sound.
Wahala immediately brings to mind my love for the music of Carlos Santana and Marc Anthony. Additionally, the guitar work in the track is beautifully executed, further enhancing the song by adding an extra layer of richness.
When I first heard the lyrics of Egwu Eji, I was a bit skeptical. But then I recalled how much I used to play Booty Call by Mo’ Hits All Stars in my younger years. Decided to approach it with a more open mind.
CKay’s Emotions is a journey of heartfelt storytelling, making it a must-listen for fans of Nigerian Music, afrobeats, and anyone who loves music that taps into the highs and lows of human relationships.
