ACOTAR Book 6: Sarah J. Maas Gives Us Something to Be Excited About

If you are a fan of the A Court of Thorn and Roses Series (ACOTAR series), then you have probably been waiting on the next book. After A Court of Silver Flames came out in 2021, fans have been waiting on Sarah J. Maas to confirm her plans for ACOTAR 6.

Yesterday, July 11, Maas shared a post on Instagram that shows her closing a decomposition book with the words ACOTAR 6 scribbled on it. She also closes a laptop and pops a champagne bottle. The post is captioned “First drafts DONE.”

Maas has sold over 70 million copies of her books in English worldwide and has garnered a steady fanbase especially on online platforms like TikTok and Instagram. The hashtags for her books especially ACOTAR and Crescent City books have been viewed by billions of people.

Of course even this post share by Maas starred a lot of controversy with fans on Instagram analyzing everything from what was scribbled on the book to what the possible focus of the book will be. There are arguments on whether it says ACOTAR 6→, ACOTAR 6-8, or ACOTAR 6-D. There are also speculations about the post caption itself since it says “Drafts” instead of draft. Does this mean more than one? Someone even joked that it’s Rhysand and Feyre’s cabin in the background!

I am definitely looking forward to seeing what will happen next in this series. Will Lucien and Elain get together or will Azriel and Elain? Will Tamlin’s court get a second chance at some normalcy. I can’t wait to see Rhysand and Feyre as parents especially when I remember Randall from House of Flame and Shadows comment about bonding with Rhys over being an over protective dad. I hope we get to meet Nyx! Bryce also gave Nesta the starsword, I wonder if any of that will come to play.
