Nobody Wants This is a 2024 romantic comedy series streaming on Netflix.

It follows the unexpected romance between an agnostic sex podcaster and a Jewish rabbi, capturing the charm and challenges as they navigate life’s pivotal moments together.

The series explores how two people from vastly different backgrounds can find common ground in love, facing challenges along the way.

With sharp humor, irresistible charm, and authentic emotion, the series embraces the beautiful chaos of love, the inevitability of human errors, and the deep, meaningful bonds that arise from it all.

Why Nobody Wants This is a Must-Watch

Apart from the fact that this series secured the number 1 spot during it’s second week of streaming on Netflix, there are just so many things to love about it.

As a millennial, I love rom-com and this one is absolutely perfect!

The show’s simplicity amidst the drama is refreshing, and Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s chemistry shines, especially when you look at how they bonded at the dinner party. It was believable and felt true to life.

The show felt fresh even though the theme of boy meets girl and falls in love is as old as time.

I was pleasantly surprised that there were no politically motivated messaging throughout the series. I liked the feeling of not being sold anything other than good old-fashioned romance. The story and script carried itself, charming, witty and hilarious.

I liked that what was being highlighted was a healthy relationships between Noah and Joanne.

I think many people would agree with me that we are all tired of toxic love dramas. Both Noah and Joanne are two healthy people who want to be in a committed relationship and are simply navigating life.

And then there was the kiss!

The first kiss has been the topic of many discussions. Yes, I am on team it was very steamy!

Speaking of steamy I also liked that it wasn’t about naked bodies and sex everywhere but more focused on romance. Tasteful if you will!

Spoiler alert!

There was just so many good and memorable scenes like the car scene between the siblings, Joanne meeting Bina and the rest of the family for the first time, Rebecca and Morgan mutually pretending not to know each other, Joanne mistaking the divorced guy for the rabbi, the ick factor, I could go on and on!

Importantly, the series doesn’t just spotlight Joanne and Noah. The supporting cast gets meaningful screen time, making the series feel balanced and fresh.

Would I Recommend This Series

Absolutely! Just be warned—you might find yourself watching more episodes than planned, maybe even rewatching a few favorites. It’s that irresistible!
