Filmhouse Group has announced a strategic partnership with Care4Her Initiative to train 100 women in technical cinematography skills under Project Empower 2.0, an initiative aimed at strengthening female representation in Nigeria’s creative industry.
The five-day training programme is designed to build a pipeline of female technical talent by providing participants with hands-on instruction in videography, content creation, camera operations, and on-set best practices.
The initiative targets women aged 18 to 35 who are passionate about film and visual storytelling. Participants will also receive mentorship, practical learning opportunities, and exposure to industry professionals.

Expanding Opportunities for Women in Film
Filmhouse Group said the partnership reflects its broader commitment to gender inclusion, youth empowerment, and long-term industry development within Nigeria’s growing film and entertainment sector.
Speaking on the collaboration, Kene Okwuosa, Group CEO of Filmhouse Group, described the programme as an important step toward empowering women in technical roles.
“Our collaboration with Care4Her Initiative on Project Empower 2.0 marks an important milestone in our commitment to gender inclusivity and youth empowerment. Beyond training, this programme creates meaningful opportunities for women to advance their skills and build sustainable careers within the entertainment industry,” Okwuosa said.
Mojisola Oladapo, Chief Marketing Officer of Filmhouse Group, also highlighted the initiative’s impact on career development.
“This partnership aligns strongly with our purpose at Filmhouse Group to create access, representation, and real career pathways for women in film. Project Empower 2.0 reflects our dedication to driving impact beyond the screen,” she said.
