Main Plot & Characters
Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is still coping with the loss of Tony Stark after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Hoping to escape the pressures of being Spider-Man, Peter embarks on a class trip to Europe with his friends, including MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon).
His plans for a normal vacation are upended when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) recruit him to help battle elemental monsters wreaking havoc across Europe.
They introduce him to Quentin Beck, also known as Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), a superhero from an alternate Earth—or so it seems.
As Peter grows close to Mysterio, he learns that Beck has his own agenda, using illusions to manipulate people for his gain.
Peter must step up as Spider-Man to protect his friends and take on the responsibilities passed down to him.
