Here are the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards Nominations

The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) has announced nominations for the 2024 awards. The awards provide an avenue to showcase outstanding achievements in the African film industry. This year will mark the 20th edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

The movie “The Weekend”, directed by Daniel Oriahi leads with 16 nominations. The movie premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year. Femi Adebayo’s war film “Jagun Jagun” also received high nominations.

Winners will be announced at the AMAA 2024 Awards on November 2. The event is scheduled to take place at the Balmoral Center in Lagos, Nigeria.
