About Captain America: Civil War:

Captain America: Civil War follows the fallout after a mission in Lagos, Nigeria goes wrong. When it does, governments from around the world demand oversight for the Avengers. The oversight would be contained in the Sokovia Accords. Remember, a similar mishap happened in Sokovia in Avengers: Age of Ultron, hence the name.

The implications of signing the Accords is that the Avengers would now be under the control of the United Nations. Surprisingly Tony Stark supported the Accords and his justification was that he felt responsible for the civilian casualties in Age of Ultron.

However, Steve Rogers, opposes the Accords. He believes that heroes should maintain their freedom to act. When Steve’s friend Bucky is implicated in an attack, Steve defends him, and this act forces the Avengers to choose sides i.e. Team Cap or Team Iron Man.
