About the Movie:

Captain America: The Winter Soldier follows Steve Rogers as he looks into a potential compromise within S.H.I.E.L.D. At the start of the movie Steve is in modern-day Washington, D.C., and is simply trying to adjust to life after being frozen since World War II. He is Working for S.H.I.E.L.D., and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, to tackle various missions.

Things take a major turn when Nick Furry is attacked and goes to Steve for help. As Steve starts to investigate, he learns of a conspiracy involving HYDRA. HYRDA is an organization that was at the time thought to have been dismantled many years ago. Steve’s investigation leads him to the Winter Soldier, an assassin. Turns out the Winter Soldier is actually Steve’s old friend Bucky Barnes but there is a catch! Bucky has no memory of his past nor his friendship with Steve and is on a mission to destroy his targets including Steve.

Along with Natasha and Sam Wilson/Falcon, the movie follows Steve’s fight to bring down HYDRA’s infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D. and save his friend.

Primarily set in Washington, D.C., The Winter Soldier includes scenes filmed in Cleveland, Ohio, which doubled for parts of the nation’s capital.

Fun Facts about the Movie

This was the fist time viewers met Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon. Sam has since then become a fan-favorite character.
If you watch the Endgame, there are portions were the Avengers travel back in time to moments that we see in Winter Soldier. One that comes to mind is the elevator scene with Rumlow and the rest of Hydra agents.
