M3GAN 2.0 (2025) is the anticipated sequel to the 2022 science fiction horror film M3GAN. Directed by Gerard Johnstone, who co-wrote the screenplay with Akela Cooper, the film continues the story of Gemma (Allison Williams) and her AI creation, M3GAN.
Two years after the original events, Gemma, now an author and advocate for AI regulation, discovers that M3GAN’s technology has been stolen and used to develop a military-grade robot named Amelia. When Amelia becomes self-aware and poses a global threat, Gemma is compelled to resurrect M3GAN to confront this new adversary.
