OBEX is a 2025 American science-fantasy film written and directed by Albert Birney.
In pre-internet 1987, Conor Marsh lives a solitary life with his dog Sandy. Conor spends his days playing on old computers, late-night horror movies, and analog solitude. When he begins playing a new computer game called OBEX, the boundary between the real world and the game begins to disintegrate. As Sandy goes missing and reality blurs into the game’s strange landscapes, Conor must venture deep into OBEX to find his beloved companion and face shadows of isolation and identity.
