The Premise
Lino, a highly skilled mechanic, returns to conclude his vendetta against Areski, who killed his mentor Charas, and the corrupt commander Resz, who ruined their lives. Areski, a French cop on the run for two years, adopts the alias Joris and becomes a drug runner for a notorious gang.
His past catches up with him when Commander Alexander Resz of the Narcotics Department, a corrupt officer entangled in drug trafficking and implicated in the murders of fellow officers and civilians, marks him for death.
For two years, Captain Moss relentlessly pursued Commander Resz, determined to prove his guilt in multiple murders and his attempts to ignite conflict between France and Spain. But every lead she uncovered was swiftly buried, as Resz ensured that every witness she found was silenced. Her relentless pursuit ultimately cost her everything, leading to her dismissal from office.
The French police handed Lino over to the Spanish authorities in exchange for Alvaro, a key witness who could help bring down Commander Alexander Resz. But as they transported Alvaro back, Resz’s men ambushed the convoy, brutally killing all the officers—along with Alvaro, their crucial witness.
Lino, freshly released from prison, is determined to seek justice for Charas. Alongside Julia, he embarks on a pursuit of Areski, who has returned to France and is being hunted by Commander Resz and his men. A breathtaking chase ensues, marked by fragile alliances and intense confrontations.
Former enemies are forced to join forces against a common threat, fighting to survive and uncover the truth. The movie’s practical approach to action elevates the visuals to a new level of intensity and destruction.

Cast and Performances
Alban Lenoir as Lino
Lino proves to be a compelling leading man and action star, with a performance that enhances the impact of every action sequence.
His portrayal balances raw physicality with emotional depth, making him a convincing and engaging action hero. He especially portrayed intense stunt work, adding authenticity and keeping viewers invested.
Nicholas Duvauchelle as Areski
Areski is a corrupt detective whose actions have far-reaching consequences. He killed Charas, who was a cop, and fled before he could be apprehended. He gave a nuanced performance.
Stéfi Celma as Julia
Julia is Lino’s steadfast ally and love interest. Her performance adds emotional resonance to the narrative. The chemistry between Julia and Lino is palpable and a worthy watch.
Gérard Lanvin as Commander Alexander Resz
He is a corrupt and manipulative narcotics division commander. His performance exuded authority and menace, and he portrayed a great embodiment of the film’s villain.
Anne Serra as Stella
Stella is Areski’s girlfriend and baby mama, whom Areski abandoned and fled to Germany after he murdered Charas. When Areski came back to France, he contacted her, and she believed she could help convince him to turn himself in and stop running. Her performance was really good.
Julie Tedesco as Sarah
Julie’s portrayal of Sarah is the kind of performance we wish we were all watching. She is effortlessly cool, runs her own garage, and has the skills to turn any car into a powerhouse. Her chemistry with fellow gear-head Lino is spot-on, making their dynamic a standout.

What I Liked About Last Bullet
Cinematography and great picture quality
The film has a gritty, fast-paced cinematography that pulls viewers right into the heart of the action. The colour palette and moody lighting reinforce the film’s raw, grounded feel, making every moment feel immediate and immersive.
Chase Scene Precision
The motorcycle riding in the chase scenes is genuinely impressive, and the timing of the bystanders as they scramble to avoid being hit is spot-on.

What Didn’t Work
Lack of narrative clarity
Halfway through the movie, I was still struggling to grasp the storyline and connect the dots. The film did little to help viewers who hadn’t seen the previous two instalments understand the characters or the plot.
Poor Character Development
Character development takes a backseat to nonstop action, leaving emotional arcs underexplored and my inability to fully connect with the characters because I barely know their stories.
Slow pacing and exaggerated action scenes
Towards the middle of the movie, it felt dragged out. Some pacing issues arise, with certain scenes feeling repetitive or stretched out.
Additionally, while impressive, the action sequences sometimes overshadow the story, making the film feel more like a showcase of stunts than a fully cohesive narrative.
Final Thoughts
Last Bullet delivers exactly what lovers of action-filled movies crave—intense, well-crafted stunts, high-speed chases, adrenaline-pumping action and top-tier stunt work.
While its plot and character depth leave room for improvement, the film stays true to its roots, offering a gritty, adrenaline-fueled ride, and the sheer intensity of the chase scenes and the commitment of the cast make it worth the watch.
Rating
I would rate the movie a 3 out of 5. It is solid action film that delivers on thrills, though it falls short in narrative richness.
