Whenever I am planning a cookout, I usually include Spicy Curry Shrimp Skewers to the list of dishes I would be serving.
These shrimp skewers are fun to look at and are great tasting. They are usually a crowd favorite and are gone before you know it! I just never seem to make enough to go round.
What Ingredients Do You Need
In order to make these shrimp skewers, I usually purchase shrimp, olive oil, cayenne and black pepper, curry powder, smoked paprika, cayenne peppers, dried thyme, fresh basil, fresh parsley, and salt.
Because I like the tangy flavor, I usually add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice but this a choice I make and not something you have to do.
Don’t forget to check if you have skewers at home. You can use either wooden or metal skewers.
If you do not have some at home, you can order them online from Amazon, they are usually delivered within a day, sometimes same day if you have Prime.
How Do You Make Spicy Curry Shrimp Skewers?
Let’s get started!
The first thing I do is to prepare the shrimp. After that, I marinate it using the spices I purchased above. Then I prepare the skewers and thread the shrimp.
I have made this recipe by grilling, over a stovetop and by oven. It really depends on how many skewers I am making and if it is for my own consumption or for a crowd.
The cooking time depends on which method I use. Once it is cooked, I allow it seat for a little bit before serving.
