I’m very selective about the ribs I enjoy. I dislike overly greasy ribs, but I crave juicy bites. That’s why I created my Spicy Marinated Ribs.
It’s a favorite in my household and I hope it will be in yours too!
This oven baked ribs are simple to make. The majority of time is spent prepping and marinating the ribs so don’t be discouraged by the prep time. Actual cooking time is an hour.
Let me walk you through through my delicious recipe.
Now, you can make these ribs with either pork or beef however pork is the popular choice.
Marinating the Ribs
Since I am very particular about spices and taste, I really take my time to complete the process of marinating. This is the longest part of the cooking process.
I like my ribs to not only visually look appetizing but also I want them to be moist on the inside with a spicy kick.
What Ingredients Do You Need to Make Spicy Marinated Ribs?
So for the marinade, I combine olive oil, cayenne peppers and black peppers, salt, smoked paprika, a blended seasoning like dash, and curry. Yes I add curry! Sometimes, I make my own blended seasoning when I have more free time and I’m craving different flavors.
Because I enjoy the tangy taste, I usually add lemon juice but you don’t have to do this. The ribs would still turn out great.
I also use olive oil as a binder by rubbing it on the meat. What this does is that it allows the other spices stick to the meat.
How Do You Make Spicy Marinated Ribs?
The first thing I do is to prepare the ribs by cleaning and washing them. Then I mix the marinade and marinate the ribs as described above.
Next, I determine the method I would be using to cook the ribs. For me, it really depends on the weather or how I’m feeling that day. I either cook the ribs by baking in the oven or I grill them.
Once cooked, I give the ribs some cooling time and then slice them up for taste.
